world art Summit
Everything is interconnected
Where Art, Science and Humanity Converge.
The World Art Summit brings together artists, scientists, researchers and thinkers from different disciplines and cultural environments to explore questions that cannot be understood from a single perspective.
It grows from the international ecosystem developed around Villars Music and creates encounters between people who would rarely meet within a single institution or field.
The Summit is not built around one discipline. It is built around connections.
The Network
Many disciplines. One shared space.
The World Art Summit draws on the international networks connected to Villars Music:
Musicians from one of the world's leading orchestras, the Berliner Philharmoniker.
Academic and intellectual connections across disciplines.
The Villars Institute community, working at the intersection of science, education, sustainability and systems thinking.
Young musicians, international artists, Academy faculty and mentors from across the world.
And our growing network of researchers, scientists and thinkers working across different fields of knowledge.
The Questions
The summit is driven by questions rather than definitive answers.
How do we perceive the world? What shapes human creativity and intelligence?
How do our minds, bodies and environments influence one another? What is our relationship with nature and technology?
What can art reveal about human experience? What can science reveal about ourselves?
Each edition will approach these questions through different disciplines, voices and forms of experience.
the gathering
The first World Art Summit takes place in Spring 2028 at Villars Palace and the Villars Institute: a private exchange for a selected group of artists, scientists and thinkers. The format is still taking shape. We want the ideas to lead.
What emerges will be shared through presentations, conversations and written work reaching a wider audience beyond Villars.
This is the first step towards a long-term platform.
